Bring a Citizens election fund to Baltimore County!
Represent Maryland believes public election funds are one of the most important solutions to fighting for and securing democracy at all levels of government.
In Baltimore County, the county council voted in favor of letting voters decide on whether to create a Citizens Election Fund in the winter of 2018 and the question will appear on the 2020 General Election ballot as Question A. If you want the county to create a Citizens Election Fund, vote FOR Question A. |
Once created, most public/fair/citizens election funds are only accessible to candidates who prove they are serious about their campaign and commit to only taking reasonable sized donations from individuals. This means no business, PAC, or special interest money will influence their campaign.

Public Election Funds give candidates for elected office a winable alternative to courting big money donors to support their campaign, and that's why I support establishing a citizens election fund for Baltimore County and will be voting YES on Question A!
